I say “may” because officially their policy is that they do. Again, with meeting people outside. However as someone who regularly drops off wildlife to them, they can tell you different things day to day, depending on who answers the phone. Or maybe depending on if a wildlife vet is on shift.

It doesn’t spread from bird to mammals easily. Mostly it’s been mammals that consume infected birds or raw milk. Or those who work with poultry. I would suggest people dispose of any dead geese though if they come across them. Glove up, double bag, put in garbage. Prevent scavengers from consuming.

Dove Lewis may take for humane euthanasia, but you should call ahead to confirm first, and DO NOT bring any geese or ducks inside the hospital.

Bird Alliance is definitely getting a lot of calls. Both Canada and cackling geese. Rehabbers are NOT permitted to take adult ducks or geese per ODFW regulations, so the public should not bring to any rehab facility.
