Well if mirror universe janeway lore is to be believed, she was actually experimenting with assimilation. In the game she (is very hot) capable of controlling borg drones. One thing that sucks hard about prodigy is that they just tickle your balls with ideas and accidently muddy the water.

That isn't to say historical and systematic racism can't critiqued within Trek but sometimes, and in the case of this troll, it feels like these people are skewing the truth / targeting people who are fucking harmless on the scale of things in life, to feel better about something.

Her Latina background was likely infused / written after time with Roxanne Dawson behind the wheel. Same way Janeway is an Irish nut, just like Kate. Sometimes these things can whittle down to simple explanations where they're LARELY inspired by the space they're being made in.

I'm not trying to yuck people's yum, but some of the users are passive aggressive bullies with the attitudes about that show and how they see other people's enjoyment of the media.
I have things I don't like seeing but generally shut the fuck up because it's not THAT important.

Right?! I don't understand it. It would be fine if there was a level of self-awareness, like acknowledging your analysis or appropriation of the material is far removed, sometimes down right made up, from what is actually there, but that's not the case.

It really is. Idk man I understand being sensitive around certain topics but why are people so intent on changing how these characters are actually, even when their characteristics are portrayed in good faith. Belanna's emotions are a great quality of hers. I relate as someone who has anger issues.

I feel like the person / people who do it have a weird inferiority complex. They've been at it for years.
