Not to sound ignorant of your joint disability. I know it's not going to be kickboxing. Low impact, low weight, use of body. Could be one of the chill martial arts, swimming, some types of dance... You get it, not here to be flippant. Workshop it

I said I get why they got a weird feeling. I did too and I examined it. I also said I believe in Ify. That's why I weighed in here. i saw people acting wild and ify defending himself and I wanted to defend him too. This is how I chose to do it. I think it's more useful than swinging on people.

I don't think it was appropriate to claim Ify is sketchy based on some "weird vibes" from an episode but since someone did and since others may be nodding along, I wanted to address those vibes. The episode was a bit of a bomb and it sort of acted like an anti-wingman to ify's shtick, I think.

Hey I can see how you'd get confused now that the original thread is deleted but I didn't make that assertion or that post. Only this one. Since this was unfairly brought up, now people are thinking about it. I added some thoughts to help everyone maybe find some peace with each other.

If you're a viewer going off vibes and have that sensitivity, it can feel like a consent issue and the read can get cross-contaminated.
This isn't to lecture anyone. I believe in Ify and I think I understand where the crit is coming from so I hope to add some good faith neutral dialogue.

I wouldn't be surprised if crowd work that feels like it could be "mischaracterising" audience members is a sore spot for particularly autistic viewers cause I know I have a high sensitivity to that and I have to kind of intentionally find an artistic respect for comedy that does it.

I say this as a defense of your character but I guess it's technically a crit of the performance still.

It worked against you on this episode that your peer came out the gate with the "wow this must be the most poly crowd" thing. The audience got kind of oddly characterised before they said anything and generally there was a lot of doing comedy "at" the crowd on this one. It set a pushy tone.

We needn't resent that many of the people aligned with us politically are acting out of practicality and are flawed.
We wouldn't have a shot at change if the only people capable of helping us were perfect altruists. But, in many ways capitalist abuse is insensible and harms normal people.
