Retired from a lifetime of writing anything and everything, all signed by someone else. Now I write only in my own voice. Public libraries, hungry kids, movies and music, healthcare and objective truth matter. I live in a scam nation, but not forever.

I had a date a few decades ago, I swear this is a transcript

Kind of thoughtful they scheduled Convoy just when you’d want to step out and get some dinner.

“Gatsby stood at the end of the dock, staring quietly across the water at the flickering green light. ‘Well, fuck them, I’m still rich,” he said, grinning at me. ‘Care for a swim?’”

No, not really. But I bet he was thinking it.

Obviously gave the wrong answer to most important question: “Where’s our cut?”

The greatest asset in any company is what they call “brand equity” - the positive feelings customers and others hold for the company and its products. For almost a century, no company had greater brand equity than CBS News, earned through years of truth, honor and integrity.

And now it’s all gone.

So that’s why DeSantis is eliminating all vaccine requirements in Florida. He thinks he’s falling behind in the polls.

Just because this reads as utterly hopeless … I think it will depend a lot on what we do next. If the country gets organized and throws the bums out, or elects a huge left majority and impeaches and arrests the conspirators, there may be a case for some near-term trust. A big if, I know.

Thiel and the Palantir mob probably have them convinced they can build a global database profiling all their critics, that they can use to take vengeance on any and every enemy. They can’t, really, but Palantir will make a bundle from selling the data and from government contracts.

I think the greater obstacle is lack of leadership. Our left leaders don’t want to risk their career ambitions by being the face of a strike, and then being perceived as too radical for the Presidency. So no one of public stature or charisma is leading the charge. We are cursed by petty ambition.

It would take just several million working adults, enough to make a negative financial impact on the economy, enough to persuade the centers of power that continued support for this government will cost too much. If it can’t happen, then we are no different than Nazi Germany. I don’t believe that.

The bigger news is that most people aren’t resisting, that we haven’t had a national strike, that people aren’t withholding their taxes until they resign, that so few are fighting back. Look at Bulgaria, and look at us. It’s not good enough.

Well, if anyone can pardon anyone now, I pardon my 6th grade pal John for stealing that candy corn from JM Fields on the way to the bowling alley. Wow, that feels great! And I didn’t even ask for a bribe.

Good. The more loons they nominate, the more Democrats win.

The only way Trump can make money is extortion. He thinks government serving the people is laughable. He hires for loyalty, as a result choosing thieves, dolts and villains. He uses patriotism as a mask for greed, and is happily selling out America for a few bucks and false praise from bloodsuckers.

The only reason he’s “at the center” is to protect the family’s cut and provide cover for the Arab governments. He’s no business mastermind; he’s the bag man.
