That moment when you realize tennis is over for the rest of the year. 😬
Tennis is so lucky to have Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz <3

That's about 20km down the coast from the little town we're holed in in for the winter. And here I thought we got it pretty rough.

Just posted a review of No Dogs in Philly by @andyfuturo.com. Spoiler: it's an excellent #Cyberpunk meshed with horror and noir themes. #books #booksky

Weird how this #writing thing works. Started fleshing out a hard cyberpunk short for entry into a contest that proceeded to bloat into at least a novella, so I pivoted and banged out a fundamentally different 3K-word story with hint of humor and a bit of a "A Canticle for Leibowitz" vibe. 🤓

We’re pleased to announce the third protocol fiction contest of 2025, on the theme of Building and Burning Bridges. To enter:

Oh for fuck's sake 🙄 I mean, I get tired even watching all those endless tournaments, and I ***love*** tennis. I can only imagine how this absolutely mental schedule feels to the actual players.

Just posted a new short story Pouring Rain (free). It's a bit of a detour from my comfort zone of knowing the stuff I write about, but it was a fun experiment nevertheless. Would mean a world to me if you checked it out, commented, and shared if you like it. #books #scifi #booksky #scifibook 💙📚🪐

Just posted a review of Alien Clay by @aptshadow.bsky.social (Adrian Tchaikovsky). TL;DR - I loved it, and I also hated it at times, but mostly—surprisingly to myself—I was eager to get back in every time I had to put it down. #booksky

I've never heard of "European look" before, but now I can't unsee it.
*I don't think these three people are even from the same European nation, and yet they all have the same European look on their faces

As cringy as it is, Six Kings Slam is a rare delight because the players seem to be less stressed out, almost relaxed, bringing out top quality tennis. And Jannik vs Carlito is always a pleasure to watch. So cute, these two ❤️🎾
Sinner d. Alcaraz 6-2 6-4

Jannik wins the Six Kings Slam for the 2nd year in a row.

There were no holes in his game whatsoever.

Serve & return were untouchable.

Movement was suffocating.

His groundstrokes and even his volleys were just incredible.

Basically unplayable, basically Sinner.
