I'm creating Steam page assets for PARAGON QUEST. What are your thoughts on this as the main logo? While the pixel art characters provide a more accurate representation of the game, would hand-drawn characters instead be more catching to the eye?

PARAGON QUEST's font is an authentic 8x8, which imposes some text character limits, but aesthetically, I am pleased with the result! My next goal is to sprite portraits for all party members, as the 16x16 character sprites seem a bit small within the status screen.

Happy 38th anniversary to DRAGON QUEST II! DQ2 released in Japan on January 26, 1987, and is definitely one of the biggest influences on the JRPG genre, with recruiting party members, sailing a ship, and its three-act structure. The original version remains as one of my favorite games of all time!

Thank you! If I changed it, it would look more like this, a Final Fantasy-style world map, with diagonal or more rounded edges, instead of a blocky shape.

I beat Xenlon! I'm happy they brought back the Rubiss Sword (equipped on my warrior) from the GBC version, and it's cool that you can change the hero's hair color! Sadly, the ice cave doesn't seem to be back. Now I'll go through the new Temple of Trials!

DRAGON QUEST III SPOILERS

I beat Zoma! Although I played in Draconian mode, it felt way easier than any other version of the game, until the endgame, which felt harder. I've also started the postgame, and that feels much harder too. I hope they added to the postgame, we'll see!
