The industry runs on advertising dollars from automakers, electronic giants, apparel brands, and other consumer-facing companies—precisely the sectors most exposed to Trump’s sweeping tariffs. As those businesses face ballooning costs, supply chain disruptions, and shrinking margins, marketing budgets will be among the first casualties. For media companies, that means a financial squeeze is inevitable.
