WRT anime recommendations, the good news is that despite the stereotype, actually very few anime have hundreds of episodes. The vast majority only ever get like 12.
Anyway my rec for you is Frieren Beyond Journey's End. And technically not anime but I think you might like To Be Hero X. Both 24 eps.
