By the way, I've taken more shots than what you see here. So if you have a favorite card that Yugi used in the manga that you want to see, let me know and I'll respond with a pic of it in this thread.

It took me two years to make these cards, and I had a lot of help along the way. The biggest contributors were Alaz, Meow, and Icycatelf. Other contributors and referenced resource creators include Bustedsides, Shadow Force, Bog, and the Yugipedia admin team- Deltaneos, Cheesedude, and many others.

In the case of some cards that changed their look over the course of the series, I've made copies showing their original look and their later looks as well.While there were a few obscure cards that were impossible to replicate, I'm proud of the work I was able to do with these.

Lastly, here are the decks that Yugi and the Pharaoh used in the final duel of the original manga. (I've put them together in one pile for ease of photography.) The focus card here is "Gold Ark of Isolation", a card that had a big impact on the result of that duel.

This is Yugi's deck from the "Battle City" arc. While a few cards from previous decks are retained, this consists of mostly new cards. Contained here are the famous "god cards", a big plot point in the series and something everyone obsessed over back in the day.

This is the deck Yugi used in the famous "Duelist Kingdom" arc. It seems to be a composite of his original deck and the cards used by his Grandpa, as well as numerous cards not originating from either deck. The focus card I chose for this one is "Black Magic Ritual".

This is the deck Yugi used in the "Death-T" arc, the one originally owned by his grandpa Sugoroku Mutou. It's the one with "Dark Knight Gaia", "Black Magician", and of course, "Exodia".

Here, I'm showing off each of the individual decks. This is Yugi's original deck, from "The Cards with Teeth" 2-parter. It only consists of about 8 known cards. Fun fact: "Summoned Demon" was Yugi's original top card. It was based on the Magic: the Gathering card "Lord of the Pit".

I tried to make the template for these as close to the original in-manga Japanese cards as possible in terms of layout.

Today is the 29th anniversary of Magic & Wizards (better known to many as Duel Monsters), the original game on which the Yu-Gi-Oh! is based, and I thought it would be fun to mark the occasion by making these replicas. I've made all 5 (or really 6) decks used by Yugi in the manga.
