If Whisper was part of a pre-existing survival horror franchise, I'd think it would belong in Silent Hill to explore it's psyche and self.
I'd love to hear what series other people could see their own OCs belonging to and why!

I definitely think looking up what Christopher Gans had to say about Harry & why he made him into a woman is VERY telling on his intent. Despite his involvement, though, Gans cannot change the fact that the games don't agree with his sentiments. I hope he listens to the source one day lol

I think why I said earlier that I was bothered by Harry Mason being turned into Rose comes from a similar place, too. Any human should do something, but making Harry a woman says he thinks men (..himself) aren't responsible for caring for their own kids, and that woman have that duty. It's icky

I feel like by writing to appeal to them it misses the point of Silent Hill 2. James Sunderland did something awful, James is in Silent Hill to face his guilt and process it. To tie Mary to the cult etc in this movie feels like a contradiction to something integral, like an excuse for James

I think I def agree on the first being understandably enjoyed best out of the lineup, I agree on it being a love letter! I think I'd love to see a new director handle a movie for SH, too, and maybe for a unique story in the universe like f did.

I felt like it was doomed since it's announcement and we learned Abt who the director is. It's the same guy that basically said no Harry Mason, you get ROSE because only a woman would want to go to Silent Hill to save their daughter (for the old movies)
