So basically I posted this because I've seen a lot of people complaining here on bsky (shocking, I know, for this webbed site), & have seen almost nobody acknowledging efforts made to address it. I feel bad for the social media volunteers dealing with the negativity, & wanted to show some love. 3/4

As someone else already mentioned, this is an EXTREMELY special occasion, and these performances landing on a year with a megaman theme is actually fucking incredible. 2/3

Not at you specifically, no. I also have a ton of friends who would DIE to play mainstage who get denied every year- I totally get it, & understand the frustration. But it's also very easy to criticize the org without appreciating efforts to do better, and that's also frustrating to watch. 1/3

For no reason at all, I would like to thank magfest for opening up a brand new stage last year in order to accommodate more musical acts

I really enjoy taking the train to mag. bonus points if there's a blizzard, but it doesnt matter because you're on the train

I have thoroughly enjoyed my 12+ hour train rides to mag. especially when there's a furious snowstorm and you wouldn't have been able to drive or fly in it anyway

as I said in the other post - shuttle and ranked choice lottery is such a gigantic improvement, I hope other large events use this system, too.

But also: I do not envy the hotel team when they get the inevitable FLOOD of emails from people who missed deadlines because they didn't read
