Hubs took me to celebrate signing the contract for my second book. A little girl in Arkansas, living in poverty with an alcoholic, who told everyone she would grow up to be a writer, grew into a teenager who thought she couldn’t afford to dream. But dreams are free, and sometimes they come true. ♥️

Throwback to June with @jamieflanagan.com at the Stoker Awards. Without Jamie & others who advocate for bold indie horror creators BTS, I’M SORRY IF I SCARED YOU would never have been published. I’m so excited to see what Jamie does with the new King anthology & all they endeavor to do next. ♥️

A writer’s worst fear is no one showing up to their event. Two weeks ago I had the incredible privilege of attending a signing for BLOOD, SWEAT & QUEERS (feat. my story BLOOD AND OIL) at the LGBT Community Center in Manhattan. This was my first event in NYC ever. As you can see, people showed up! 🥹
