okay despite some funny lines in the introduction this book is shockingly modern and has a whole chapter -- again, in 1927 -- about cultural tensions between gay and bi people, when most of the sources I've read prior to now don't acknowledge there even was a distinct bi culture in the 20s. neat!!

In the meantime, I'm making the shirt, which is a repeat of the pattern I used for Moriarty but wayyy more straightforward since I'm not embroidering any of the pieces and there are no pintucks to account for. It's so easy it feels wrong.

moreso than most pants, fall fronts REALLY don't look like anything until they're nearly done... gonna taper the legs a bit more and make them a little shorter, because right now they're VERY straight cut.
