However, I don't think mere legislation will fix our broken system. We much soften the hearts and minds of those in our community. Convince people that nature is sacred, that all live has value, and teach young men to respect women, to show strength thru gentleness and courage.

Nixon pushed the civil rights act of 1957 (enforcing Brown v Board) , established the EPA, proposed the FAP, doubled the spending of the National Arts endowment, signed Title IX, advocated for more women in federal government, and implemented Affirmative Action.
I dislike him but he wasn't all bad.
