As someone who has spent a lot of time in this city in Ohio, the pronunciation reminded me Rufus Sewell is indeed a Brit and had probably never even heard of the town before delivering this line.

This happened last night at Lafayette and Tidewater. That whole street is littered with car accident debris.

Y’all, I MET HIM

I had my students in the self-contained class free draw today so I could see what they like to use and depict. I walked past one of my students and did a double take when I realized he did my portrait! He drew the ribbons on my apron and even included my Danskos!

“Norfolk’s Finest” need to work on their observational skills. I was stopped by a baseball cop on Water Street (star on the map) asking if I was going to Harbor Park (yes), if I had paid for parking in advance (yes), and if I knew how to get there (duh). Oh btw, this is what I was wearing.

I’ve been watching Star Trek: Next Generation in order and tonight I finally watched the episode where this meme originated from (Season 6, Episode 9). It was quite thrilling.

Felt a little naughty having half of Communion during a faculty meeting but I just rolled with it.

Not a fan of when shows shoot a scene in the middle of the day and then add a filter in post to make it *seem like* it was shot in the evening/at night. The shadows and light and angles of shadows and light are all wrong. Drives me bonkers and just makes it look like the lighting people are bad.

Also, this is their logo.

They’re all baseball team logos! The one I was wearing was the Tides “T” wave logo (I’m guessing he didn’t see the front). And NONE of them are red.

Currently getting my child evaluated for ADHD and am filling out this form. I'd much rather submit a sizzle reel of a week in the life of my child and submit that to her pediatrician. I feel like that would be more informative data than this form.

I was today years old when I learned that Brent Spiner aka Commander Data was in Sunday in the Park with George. THAT was a delightful surprise!

My nine year old saw Donald Faison in a commercial and said, “For a second I thought that was Dre (Andre Knott)!” And you know what? If I squint, I can see it!

Gabriel Arias has some beautiful eyebrows. Have you seen those bad boys? Great shape and thickness and beautifully maintained. Chef's kiss. Really wish I had his eyebrows.

Just finished an Art History lesson with a lot of heavy work (tons of death and despair). So we finished class listening to Mr. Rogers. Gotta send those kids out on a positive note.

Today's purple category in Connections was so easy for me that I thought it was one of those tricky "these things all connect but are not the connection we are looking for" categories.

Here's a photo of it circa 2007 for your reveries.

Hey @cityofnorfolkva.bsky.social, I've got another accident you can add to that study of the Lafayette Blvd corridor. Might wanna get on replacing that guardrail that got messed up in the last accident at this intersection. The one on December 8th.

I made an open notes form for my kids. Saw a question tripped up my first block kids. Pointed out that question to my second block kids and told them how to tell the difference between the two terms. Aaaand then even more kids got it wrong in the second class than the first.
