I enjoy books, making things, cats, silliness, weird electronics, and vacuum tubes. I'm some flavor of queer, but I'm never quite sure exactly what.
And sometimes, I imagine, the story could be heartrending.

We'd often call our cat Michi "Moo" as well.

I just randomized a color coding table for threatening events.

Got a video test signal generator cheap as surplus. With the end of analog TV, a bunch of pro level gear is suddenly affordable.

I wanted to test some old neon pinball score displays, so I put together the proper connector, programmed an Arduino to generate the appropriate control signals, and used my ancient Heathkit power supply as a source of 190V. Success!

Yes, here's a picture of the wax capacitors melting in the oven.

After repairing a bunch of old oscilloscopes, I melted down the failed wax capacitors and made up scented candles.

But it makes my flux capacitor replica look dopey. Rounded up an older one, I'm going to redo it.

One of my local libraries recently had a display of books in their entryway. Nancy Drew books and assorted related objects.

Saw "golden eggnog" for sale and wondered what it was. The website claims "the recipe has been a secret for more than 50 years", but looking at the ingredients, I have to wonder how popular high fructose corn syrup, mono & diglycerides, yellow 5 & 6, and red 40 were in grandma's kitchen.

I bought a bulk batch of assorted books from a used bookseller. The title of this one intrigued me. "The Revolving Boy", by Gertude Friedberg, is a tale about a boy with an unerring sense of direction that is somewhat of an alienating hindrance but becomes invaluable for navigating the universe.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the House of the Century (near Mojo Lake, TX) is sadly in disrepair.

Our local theater invites cosplayers to hang out in the lobby and greet moviegoers. For Wonder Woman, they had this great backdrop, and one of the people cosplaying Wonder Woman posed with me.

It's tricky, but the people who appreciate you are glad you continue to put out thoughtful and artistic pieces. However, your comment reminds me of a meme I made years ago.

This worked out perfectly.

Better than this "sale", I suppose.

Managed to find a good deal for a used M4 Mini with 24GB RAM, promptly opened it up to replace the 256GB SSD with a 2TB one. Surgery was a success.

Same. Trying to figure out if I should wear it as a brooch or a pendant. Oh, I know, a fascinator!
