I complain about politicians and politics a lot. Sometimes I talk about games. Or cats. Or IT work.

Uh.... look, I don't need it that badly. Go home and have dinner.

.... which doesn't appear to be an option to tell them.

My most memorable would have to be entering "MST3K mode" during the showing of "Mystery Men", and lampooning the movie so well (not that I remember a damn thing I said) that multiple people thanked me afterwards.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

...... I got nothing.

(Alt text of picture: Trump is sitting behind his desk, wearing his normal ill-fitting suit, and a stark white cowboy hat that really doesn't suit him, while surrounded by people who are... applauding him for wearing a hat like a big boy?)
looking great, sir

Man, those meds are taking longer each day to kick in.

So, there's several possible reasons why the Indiana GOP rejected this in the Senate.

They thought it was a bad idea, they didn't respond well to MAGA death threats should they fail to pass it, they didn't respond well to Trump's threats to defund any federal projects....

But they did reject it.
Breaking: Indiana State Senate rejects 9-0 Republican gerrymandered congressional map, stands up to Trump’s pressure campaign of threats and intimidation. Huge victory for democracy & defeat for Trump in gerrymandering war he started

Look, I'm hardly an expert on politics, but 42% approval was already bad.

That it's dropped 6% to 36% since March? @jamellebouie.net is right, that absolutely is pretty significant.

And he's less than a year into this term. There's a pretty good chance he drops further by the end of January.
lol wut. dropping from 42 percent approval to 36 percent approval seems pretty significant. apnews.com/article/trum...

I mean, sleep deprivation would explain why Trump is falling asleep in the middle of the day.

And a few other things.
Lutnick: "The president sleeps less than me. I sleep 5 hours a night. The president sleeps 4 hours a night! And he's working all the time. He calls me late at night, he wants to talk about the day. He's on it all the time. It is the most impressive thing you've ever seen."

.... no, $1 million dollars does not mean they are the best people. First, foremost, and honestly, solely, it means that they have $1 million dollars to throw at this stupid fucking ego boost of a piece of shit policy.
Lutnick: "Now these people make a gift to the United States of America of $1 million, so you know these are the best people coming in. This is raising the value of the people coming into this country."

Counterpoint: No, we won't.

Look, 2-3% economic growth is considered a good rate, and there's been plenty of time where it's been less than that in the last ten years.

It has not been at or over 6% in that time. Not during Trump 1. Not during Biden's term.

Lutnick is talking out of his ass.
Lutnick: "I think under President Trump you're gonna see the economy grow 6%"

"Why did my child get measles?"

"Because you didn't get your child vaccinated. Because you listened to anti-vax morons."

"No, that can't be it."
The measles outbreak in South Carolina is “accelerating” with no end in sight following Thanksgiving and other large gatherings, state health officials say.

To put it mildly, Trump is a fucking idiot.

Reviewing five years of social media before someone from Europe can get a tourist visa? Does Baron von Fuckstick understand how many times someone can post in five years?

I've been here coming up on three years, and I have over ELEVEN THOUSAND posts.
Q: Are you concerned that if the proposal to review 5 years of social media to get a tourist visa is implemented that there will be a decline in tourism?

TRUMP: No. We're doing so well. We want to make sure we're not letting the wrong people into our country.

You know, when a grumpy, humorless, authoritarian dickhead said "You'll get nothing, and like it!" in Caddyshack, it was supposed to be part of the comedy of the movie.
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

I mean, it's a Boston Catholic parish, so it's possible that the parish priest told him to fack off.
ICE’s acting director ordered a Boston Catholic parish to tear down its Advent Nativity scene—stripped of baby Jesus and branded with the message “ICE WAS HERE.” The parish priest is refusing, citing he pope’s call to stand with migrants. It's another chapter in Kristi Noem's war on Christians.

I'm guessing that Trump's handlers are anxiously waiting for whatever medical drug cocktail Trump is on to kick on so he's at least semi-coherent.
I scheduled an 8:05 radio hit tonight thinking Trump's speech, scheduled to start at 6, would be done with plenty of time to spare.

the speech hasn't started yet.
