My husband bought a 2020 Transit Connect brand new. It’s dead with just over 100K miles. Meanwhile my extended 2005 E-Line just got cobbled together after eating a guardrail and it still runs and drives like a dream. We’re done buying new disposable vehicles. And yes, I do need something that big.

Spent eight years of my childhood on food stamps after my parents divorced. As an adult, I’ve never been on public assistance once. I’m delighted to pay taxes so that kids like me can eat. I’m also happy to pay taxes for schools. Even though I’m a childless cat lady.

Even if you actually get the day off, it doesn’t mean you’re actually going to be able to vote. Long haul truckers for example most likely wouldn’t be able to vote in-person. If you live in Washington and get the day off in Florida, it’s not like you’re going to take an Uber home to vote.

There’s always people working. Even if it’s a paid holiday there will always people who have to work. ER doctors, firefighters, police etc. And you’re right, the point is to suppress turnout.

Off topic: Every time I do a complete breakdown and cleaning of my triop tank, new babies hatch out. But, the substrate never dries out. How is this happening? I thought they had to dry out first. Could cleaning their sand with cold hose water trigger hatching? I‘m so confused.

They’re not both-siding it at this point. They’re embracing it. The phrase, “If they’re old enough to bleed, they’re old enough to breed.” comes to mind. In other words, a lot of them think that girls are fair game as soon as they get their first period. So, like nine years old. Disgusting!
