I find that in a couple weeks it starts to get more manageable. Different hair products can help, too, depending on how it's misbehaving.

Talked to the behaviorist and she said he was in protective mode, as the other dog was lunging. My mistake was not realizing he was still in that mode. So i relaxed vs staying vigilant.
