As someone with a Motability car, higher spec cars mean your have to make an advanced payment, because the car will then cost more than the monthly payment to lease. Why shouldn't a wealthy Motability driver have a more expensive car? They are paying for it, not you, DWP or anyone else.

I’ve never been more enthusiastic about FPTP than seeing constituencies across Scotland have Labour and Reform bleeding votes for second and third places.

And finally, and this can’t be understated, there were multiple foreign language films on “council telly” every single week.

Far more proportionately than on any mainstream streamer.

In short, the “Empire” readership might enjoy foreign flicks, if only they had seen some.

Since I first read Empire more than half a lifetime ago I’m not sure its demographic has changed that much. It’s an enormously important publication in UK pop culture but Sight and Sound it ain’t…

Of the surviving brands, the majority of them don’t even have a British factory left; so this theory is as dead in the water as Starmer’s other idiotic theory that Brexit can be made an unqualified success.

Because the state isn’t financing a luxury vehicle.

The extra upfront cost of the luxury vehicle is met by the user.

If anything the state is better off because of the improved residuals when the lease ends.
