Ya Trumpism leaves little room for disagreement with the headline act which means there is currently little room for real distinction between conservatism and MAGA -- you sign up for the whole thing, and any disagreements have to be phrased in terms of bad boyars.

Isn't the problem there that being economically sane /requires/ pushing back on many strongly held beliefs in the closed camp, which is likely to be self-defeating? It seems a bit like trying to be a cult member who spends their entire time trying to convince the others not to drink the kool-aid.
