Honestly since they didn’t bring back Jake I’m glad Danny isn’t there either. Jake’s absence would have been even more glaring.

All excellent points. The only answer I can come up with is that the show-runners don’t care. They have been doing the bare minimum for a long time now. It’s really disgraceful.
