The drawing is deliberately placed at the main entrance to show Ukrainian parents fleeing war that their children are not welcome - and if they stay, they must each day look at a symbol of a state that killed their loved ones and stole their childhoods and homes.

I have previously published material about Bulgarian schools where children assemble models of the Kremlin, study maps that show Crimea as part of Russia, or are compelled to participate in events organised by Russophile clubs -until now, usually within Russian‐language teacher initiatives.
