It is 100% this. You gerrymander the state assembly seats and can lose the popular vote by double digits without fear of losing a senate seat. Another nail in the coffin of democracy in America.

That was a reconciliation bill over which Democrats had very little leverage. We have leverage now. We need to use it. Push it as far as we can.

This is the way. Whether they succeed or not, the potential for being dragged into court, required to engage an attorney, and potentially financial penalty will make a lot of ICE agents think twice about assaulting protesters.

How is that not simple assault. Minnesota police should arrest and prosecute. If they want to claim immunity,make them do it in court after being arrested, charged and incarcerated. Make them seek bail and get their lawyers

And so you charge each one that fired a shot with murder. You need to do something to deter the next one who thinks about shooting, even if the charge may not stand up. Right now, they operate with impunity. We need to use every tool we have to make them stop.

You must be a political scientist. I often tell my students to think of it like a doctor and a disease. Just because you study it and explain it, doesn’t mean you like it. It’s the only way to defeat it.
