You kind of have to skirt a very fine line. Good, but not too good. On topic, but not too on topic. Try, but never look like you’re trying. Whoever said “the nail that sticks out gets hammered” was definitely writing a how-to on modding.

Hate is very real though, it can be confronting at first but the more you find your audience, the funnier it becomes. When I see hate on our posts now it makes me laugh because I know there’s far more people digging what we’re making. Let it fuel you, but not consume you. Focus on what people like.

Yeah we’ve had a harder time with mods. I recall posting something similar in r/gaming , it took off and within 5 hours and we were around position 12 from the front page of reddit. The mods took it down. When I explained how the post was relevant they put it back up but it was too late. Big mood 😅
