The original Running Man has an almost perfect, tight 90 script and runtime despite being made on a budget of a $1,000.

It's everything I dislike about modern studio films. It looks mid, everything is too clean, 90% of the shots are unnecessary close-ups, a non-existing script, too long, just a bunch of producers and VFX artists stumbling to the exit.

I am beyond frustrated that the Dutch government acts like a petting zoo on this topic. They see no danger and have no sense or urgency. Support for Ukraine must be ramped up, people need to wake up to this new reality.

It's not for lack of resources for example that Americans do not have any relevant luxury brands, it's that their consumer goods attitude is fragging the soil to extract value as quickly as possible when there is momentum. But that is anathema to building a luxury brand. I see Chinese do the same.

Usually non-EU luxury brands follow a boom/bust cycle with limited staying power, because notions like restricting supply, telling customers 'no' and other psychological factors needed to sustain a luxury brand are alien to US and - from what I see - Chinese businesses too.
