I read it yesterday. I loved it!
I enjoyed it but I’ll be honest I’m here for Shane and Ilya’s story for this season especially, so I hate to have to take a step back so to speak as much as I know the importance/need. It is also a lot to fit in with regards to Skip’s story in an episode and hopefully progress Shane and Ilya too.

I wonder how it will work/look for people that have not read the books to see a shift to focusing on Scott kind of out of nowhere for an episode. He has been in the background and the need to share his story will become clear but I wonder if it will confuse people if Shane and Ilya are not featured

I do too. I have to say I’m interested to see how next episode plays out. I know that skip’s story is integral in Shane and Ilya deciding to give their relationship a real honest try when they see them kiss so we need the backstory.

I was not expecting him to type that. I remember it being a thought because I did a reread recently. I literally gasped 😂 Then he leaned his head against the wall 🥺 Two episodes was great but now I want to see the other 4 lol. T try his week to week is going to be tough lol

HR has humor in it but it is not a romcom so when it was adapted whether as a movie or show it would have never been similar anyway. That’s what’s annoying I think. The books are different and the way they are adapted are going to look different because of that so there should not be comparison.

That’s good to hear. Yea that TikTok really bothered me to be honest. I always felt they were different books anyway. RWRB always had more of the romcom feel to it so it makes sense for it to be one and that is going to be and look very different than what HR is.

It’s kind of ruined the excitement a little because is this going to be what the next month is going to be? Constant comparison saying Heated Rivalry is better? I saw one TikTok where a guy said he wanted the director of Heated Rivalry to “redo” RWRB to make it what it should have been 🙄

I will wholeheartedly admit I am very much looking forward to Heated Rivalry as I enjoyed the book but seeing all the discourse comparing it to RWRB and how it’s somehow better because it’s a show and it’s what “RWRB deserved” but didn’t get has really started to bother me.

I’m in the mist of reading the longer ones now. I’ve been reading in groups by length so it’s less daunting 😂 because everything looked so good. Some of my favorites have been the longer ones I’ve read so far. Excited to finish the rest over the next few days. Everyone did a great job!

Yes that might be a better word for it 😂 This was not as bad as I thought others were. Sometimes it can take me out of it, which I think was the issue with others. I might have to add Gravity to my TBR. You’ll have to let me know how it is.

The only other one I liked was You and Me. I tried a few but couldn’t get into them. Sometimes I can find his writing corny 😂 for lack of a better word but this one was not that! A ton of people that swear by his stuff though. I could just be picky 😂 I have heard Gravity is good. I might try it.

Yes! Tal as an author can be hit or miss for me but the premise was something I couldn’t turn down and I’m so glad I read it. It was a hard fought HEA. I loved Blair! There were so many times where I was wondering how things were going to work out. It was long but worth it.

He looks INSANELY good in these photos and his stories. I literally gasped at some of the photos in his stories 😂 I’m glad I had just got home from work. He does look happy though and that’s the most important part.

Ugh same! With Taylor being someone that constantly shows up for others and shows support it’s nice to see it returned like this by this group. It’s just been really nice to see.

Agreed! They all just seem so supportive constantly no matter what it is big or small. For what seemed to be a short trip they all seemed to develop a very strong bond and it’s been so lovely to see it develop since then.
