Most of the overnight shelters Wilson is relying on to justify the sweeps do not provide services for substance use or mental health issues. Getting arrested and losing your belongings over and over generally doesn't help either. You know what does help? Stable, supportive housing

And oddly, despite the cultural fixation on coal miners and "clean, beautiful coal," you never hear about the shutdown of Navajo Generating Station and the associated coal mines, which had a huge impact on an economically depressed rural area. Can't imagine why
