The Smart People said "Abolish ICE" was too radical. Then ICE kidnapped students, sent innocent people to a mega prison, broke into a car to take a mom from her daughter, and tried questioning elementary kids while lying that they had parents permission.

Ask yourself: which part is more "radical"?

I keep thinking about the lyrics of Hostile Government Takeover by AGiftFromTodd and Vinny Marchi:
"And if you say, 'Wait a minute, who do we have to stop this?'
We had one but you didn't want that lady in office"

This administration is proving to be very good for the posterboard and marker industries.

Just read BLACK IN BLUES by @imaniperry.bsky.social. A gorgeous mosaic of a book – informative, inventive, agile, and moving. And the writing is absolutely beautiful.

This is a terrible move @msnbc.com. Terrible. The @joy.msnbc.com was a critical part of the evening line-up and @joyannreid.bsky.social brings trenchant political analysis that no one else in the evening line-up has brought. I urge you to reconsider this. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/23/b...

Nah…nah.
This is who has the keys to our US Treasury now. Are you ok with this, America? This is a coup.

Decades ago I read a book I've never forgotten called The Last Days of the Late, Great State of CA by Curt Gentry (1968). After an earthquake swallows the entire state, the book examines in heartbreaking detail all the world has lost - culture, nature, enterprise, people. Too timely.

I seem to remember that Pam Bondi played some nefarious role in Florida’s Bush vs Gore election. Anyone know what that was? Or am I mistaken?
