I don’t feel like fun right now but this painting is from a show this summer where the emphasis was on escape. A gestural piece, meant to be spirited, loose, and uplifting. “Here for the Fun” is 48x36x3”,oil on a panel. Yes it was fun to create!

Available at The Centerpiece Fine Art in Raleigh,NC.

I watched the documentary “The Blue Zones” last year - definitely watch if you haven’t. This wine is from the Sardinia region and is so lovely. The answer to my question of what could be “heathy drinking” for me.

VOTE NO—The Budget Cuts Will Gut Care for Millions of Women
Text SIGN PWXMGU to 50409 — Planned Parenthood is more than a clinic—it is a cornerstone of healthcare access in America. The proposed GOP budget would revoke Medicaid reimbursements and Title X support, effectively severing access to birth control, cancer screenings, STI treatment, and basic reproductive care for millions. This is not fiscal discipline; it is a targeted dismantling of healthcare for those with the fewest options. Nearly one-third of Planned Parenthood’s funding comes from government sources. Eliminating this support will shutter clinics, reduce staff, and decimate services in communities where no alternatives exist—especially for low-income patients, people of color, and rural populations. These consequences are not theoretical. One in five women in the U.S. have relied on Planned Parenthood at some point in their lives—including 20% of Republican women. This is not a partisan issue—it is a national health imperative. Medicaid and Title X do not fund abortion services; they fund cancer screenings, birth control, and STI care. Stripping this support is not only ideologically punitive—it is medically catastrophic. It will result in more undiagnosed cancers, more untreated infections, more unintended pregnancies, and more lives lost. Public health should never be collateral in a political war. I urge you to reject this campaign of deprivation. Vote NO on any budget that severs reproductive healthcare from the people who depend on it. History will remember who defended access—and who stood by as it was destroyed.
