Boomer, athlete, painter, woodworker, love golf. Hate Trump (cheats at golf). Check out JoeGrubbFineArt.com.
A million Juncos (and others) at the feeders this AM in the snow, about 3" so far (40 mi. west of Phila.). Maisey very excited by the activity just a few feet away. 10' currently. I hate Winter.

I'm reposting my painting of the old privy behind the old stone house in Lyndell, PA where Jim Croce lived for 2 years, and where he wrote his biggest hits. PA erected a marker in front of the house a 3 years ago. I live across the street from the property. Prints of this painting are available.

Posting another painting, this one titled "Hard Bargain", an oil on board portraying my great friend Bert Talley. Bert is a major toy collector, and here is negotiating a buy from a dealer at the 2010 Renninger's Antique Extravaganza in Kutztown, PA. See all of my work at www.joegrubbfineart.com

The pitifully weak performance by both houses of Congress over the last 6-7 years has done inestimable harm not just to the US, but also to the rest of the world. Allowing the positions on health and climate change of Trump surrogates to be enacted is likely, in time, to produce disastrous results.

Here's another of my paintings, my 2015 watercolor "Thomas Mill Bridge", a scene in Philaelphia's Wissahickon Park. I consider it to be one of my best. Original is sold, prints are available. You can see all of my work at with sizes, prices, etc. at joegrubbfineart.com

Another of my paintings. This is "The Dimming of the Day", a 2017 watercolor of a scene very close to my home here in Lyndell, PA. The original and prints are available. All of my work, with pricing and other details, can be seen at www.joegrubbfineart.com

I saw another writer mentioned Cuba. Makes sense to me. If Trump could arrange a regime change there, or at least warm up relations so sanctions could be dropped, it could work out well economically for both countries. It could again be a major close-by tropical tourist destination.

Trump wants to RUN Venezuela? Two thoughts: 1) How about properly "running" the US instead? 2) How about moving there when you take over?

Our cat Maisey watching the Phila. Mummers Parade. She says HNY to all.

Here's another of my paintings. This is a small (6"x6") oil-on-board called "Beach Patrol" that was my County Collector piece for the 2017 Chester County Studio Tour. I love the shore and have painted many shore/ocean scenes. All of my work can be seen at www.joegrubbfineart.com

HNY to everyone on Bluesky. Hopefully in '26 the discussion will start with "Now that Trump is gone..". BTW, it can't be 2026, can it? Born in '49, I grew up hearing about all the magical things we'd have "by the (distant) YEAR 2000", it seems impossible that we're another 1/4 century past that.

I'm going to post some of my paintings in the next few weeks. This one is "Cathedral on Girard", a watercolor of an ancient Strand theatre in North Phila. that is now in use as an apostolic church. Original sold, prints available. All of my work can be seen at www.joegrubbfineart.com

It's really hard to believe the depths to which DT sinks in his jealousy and vituperative rancor toward all ex-Presidents (mostly D, but R as well), their families, and their allies. Without doubt (IMHO) he'll be remembered as the most hated, unlikable, divisive, self-serving POTUS ever.

Reading this AM about how 'Pub insiders are working to make Vance the lock candidate in '28, and that DJT has been telling them he's not going to pursue term 3 (thank goodness for small favors). This is great news for us Dems, as I see JD as a dunce racist asshole that will make a poor candidate.

Recognizing the Winter Solstice, here's my oil painting "Year". I did it in 2017 as an experiment in a style completely different than my normal highly realistic presentation. This 17" x 21" original is for sale for a mere $125.

Just read Jerry Jones' comments after the Cowgirls got run over yet again. Of course he's all positivity about their prospects next year, despite his intention to continue to be the GM. If he didn't own the team he'd already have been fired. As an Eagles fan I'd like him to continue forever.

Not sure why, but the nature of the posts in Bluesky I'm seeing has changed, such that I'm not getting the posts about art, pets, geography, comedy, and other human stuff that attracted me to it in the first place. I haven't changed any settings, not sure what's going on.

Had our annual visit last night to the fabulous Xmas display at world-renowned Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA USA, about 40 mi. from Phila. Thousands there on a frigid night, as there are every one of the 52 days (11/21-1/11) it runs. I couldn't recommend visiting it any more strongly.

Terrible loss today with the death of Steve Cropper. One of the real giants of soul and blues for many years, despite always being a supporting player. Sadly, the number of surviving big talents from that 60s-early 80s period is steadily dwindling, as is inevitable, but depressing none the less.

Why are there still "Hess trucks" being offered? Consider: a) Hess no longer has any retail presence, having sold all of their gas stations; b) Sadly, fewer and fewer kids are playing with all kinds of rolling toys; c) Hess trucks of any era have very limited to almost zero value as collectibles.

Eagles firing Patullo is so obvious as to be ridiculous. I know the coaches in the NFL are loyal to each other (Nick S. and Patullo are supposedly besties), but sometimes necessary changes just jump up and smack you in the face. If KP could fix things, don't you think he'd have done it by now?
