It seems like there's a massive increase in them lately, and mainly people saying stuff like "AI can't increase your engagement- only real human warmth can do that!" in the most robotic, fake way possible!

It has taken me AGES. I'm so used to creative-critical writing now, that having to return to a properly academic mode with very strict requirements was stultifying and pretty miserable. Wish we could just bin it off. You can have complexity without all the needless rules.

Once got compared to Vonnegut(!) in a review and my sisters' response was "Shame they can't compare you to someone people might actually have heard of." 🙃

It has taken me so long to get an above minimum wage job that the interest (which, when I took out my student loan was 0.5% and was told it would stay- think it's currently 9%?) means I ended up owing more than I borrowed. Whole thing is a scam & students today are getting even more screwed!
