This is what I like about the world building for both shows. The environments for both Hellborn and Sinners are the same, but both can despise and love each other for different reasons.

Didn't she show some people her wings in the first episode?
I'd imagine that since the battle was broadcasted people found out about Vaggi one way or another, and likely accepted her just because she's stuck down here with them for the time being.

When put like that, yes. The show itself and the hotel staff didn't address it with the current situation and continued business as usual for the time being, but said actions didn't get people on Charlie's side since they wanted proof of her ideals.
