took a day off for the brain's sake. walked around in the woods and saw many critters. had a picnic by a stream with my partner. quietly grieved.
A forty foot tall waterfall, split down the middle by a mossy crag in the rock wall. The water spills into a deep blue pool which quickly becomes shallow, clear, and pebbly in the foreground. A craggy cliff covered with native Oregon plants, ferns, mosses, and other greenery creates a cove. An undulating white oyster mushroom growing on the side of a very mossy tree. Viewing it from underneath, light shines through the mushroom's gills and gives it a warm, peachy glow. A townsend's chipmunk sitting on a salmonberry branch in the shade, holding some kind of morsel it is snacking upon in its tiny front hands.

today's market day drawing fixation: ducks from below
A point of view photo in which I have my sketchbook open in my lap. You can see my hand and jeans in the margins and dappled sunlight in the background. There are a lot of doodles of the undersides of ducks filling the page. On the right are two drawings of ducks with their heads underwater, and one of a duck from the front looking like a big gangly egg. There is also a drawing of a bunny head with evaporating eyes, which is the sort of thing I usually draw while thinking of other things to draw.

Event includes artisans, boot blacking, tattoos, and a dj. View at the entrance to an open church hall, with several vendors set up along the sides and people examining goods! Miles behind our booth. Several books, zines, stickers, apparel, and handmade goods are spread on a table display.

A white metal drainage pipe emerges from the underbrush and drains onto the sidewalk. Checkered black and white tape wraps around the end of the pipe to (presumably) increase visibility so that people do not trip over it. It's giving ska.
