Apparently we aren’t even allowed to build single family homes in Mac Grove anymore

Congrats to Hannah and Jon on the purchase of their first house! These guys wanted to stop throwing their rent money away and start earning some sweat equity instead, so we found the perfect pre-1900 bungalow to make their own in St Paul. Enjoy your new home! ☀️🏡❤️

Wow that’s crazy. I guess it really is important to do your own research

Anyways it’s a 6 beds, 5 bath, 10,277 sq ft masterpiece for a cool 2.9 million if anyone wants to start a cult www.zillow.com/homedetails/...

Although there is a video to help you wrap your head around the layout, no matter what day you enter you will emerge two weeks later like it was Alice in Wonderland

This isn’t really a kitchen as much as the commercial facilities of a banquet hall in Dubai

Words just… don’t really do it justice

My favorite fever dream of a house is back on the market in Plymouth. 10,000 sq ft of stunningly incoherent styling that is eclipsed only by the mountain of cocaine required to conceptualize it. It’s a 6 bed, 5 bath, 10,277 sq ft masterpiece for a cool 2.9 million if anyone wants to start a cult

Listen I love titties as much as the next person but you gotta take them down when you list the house. It’s an uphill battle to sell someone on it after they’ve called it a gooner cave

Missing the first day of the MN State Fair to open for Eric Trump at a crypto freak off is nasty work

In my attic, I went with Rockwool because it’s inorganic and mold resistant. The boomer before me installed vinyl siding decades ago, so there is a layer of sheathing on the other side of the wall. I’ll be replacing the siding in the next 5-10 years too (back to wood!)
September 3, 2025 at 3:41 AM
This is the stud in a wall where water from a gutter leak traveled on the interior until the stud rotted away completely. This went on for years before being discovered. If you have no sheathing under your siding, or bad window flashing, this water will sit in your insulation
September 3, 2025 at 3:41 AM
A popular method today is drilling holes between the studs from the exterior and pumping in spray foam. This will earn you a full score on the efficiency chart, but could cause massive issues later on if it was installed with no or improper moisture barriers
September 3, 2025 at 3:40 AM
If you have plaster and lathe walls, your house was built to breathe. Moisture wasn’t a concern in the wall cavity back then because the heat source for the home dried out any moisture that penetrated the siding. Depending on what you have, insulating can be tricky business
September 3, 2025 at 3:40 AM
The more research I do on insulation, the more I’m convinced we have to rethink public policy around efficiency in old homes. Unfortunately these reports aren’t as useful as they could be when buying a house, because simply appraising if insulation exists doesn’t tell us much.

The actual Roger Stone yelled at me on my own post and I yelled at him back. Happy Labor Day

Every time you see an actual republican tweet the words “brazen cheating” today, don’t forget to thank Darwin for this now-deleted post he had to walk back after someone explained what the report actually said to him

I’m actually really upset about this. These uniforms should be WAY sluttier. We used to be a real country
