I taught a course on American folk revivals, going back to the 19th century, but of course we focused a lot on the great folk scare. We ended the semester by watching #AMightyWind. They got some of the jokes & most of the references, but it hits hardest those of us who were there. #TCMParty 🪕 🎸 🎻

And “There’s a Kiss at the End of the Rainbow.” I totally buy it. During that song, all the satire melts away and it gets real, for me anyway (all the other acts drop everything to watch). 😘 🌈 🎶 They all seem so lost (like in all of these, I guess). #TCMParty #AMightyWind

Yes. A completely different and tragic ending for the two women. No cheesy Vienna cafe scene. Though the ending is the same as far as Mary being exposed for her lies is the same. Though unfortunately, in #TheChildren’sHour we don’t get that slap at the end. #TheseThree #TCMParty
