Reverb has created this wild new crazed fomodad character who will blues lawyer your ass if you won’t let them pay 2k for something you paid 299 or whatever for.

A few years ago I got this limited chase bliss thing (that I will never give up bc it has a dog on it and I got Pumba the same week & believe in weird things) but I just happened to get my order in and immediately the thing went to 1300-1800 gouges on reverb and I had people demand I sold them mine

I love when someone clearly grabbed something for a resell gouge and they write an elaborate fiction about the decision to sell

But also is not obtrusive so I can just leave it on as one of however many controllers and use it when I like.

And because the degrees pretty much start capping at 9ths, I feel like it always just ends up with me learning whatever voicings it comes up with and extending myself

I pretty much only use it as a midi trigger. The sounds are cool but being a usb-c powered little thing it sounds best not connected - and I really did just want a fast chord computer for sound design and speed sketches- and it’s triggering my wave 2 and Omni when I need it

I’ll be honest, I think people misjudge the device always assuming for the lowest common denominator- but for me, having one has made me dig deeper into my composition brain bc the way it’s set up allows methodology to be escaped.
Wouldn’t drop 1k tho. They reopen orders every month or so.

While I can’t confidently say what I’ve learned, I can at least share that the first two steps I am aware of are:

1. Lie to yourself
2. Work out

I s2g the sickest I’ve ever been was when some dude just point blank coughed on me at Anaheim Convention Center the day before NAMM. It was maybe an 18 hour countdown from me loudly asking what was wrong with him to me being not quite sure I was ever going to make it out of my hotel room again.
