Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the wrong part of the bulb illuminates. I mean, it’s awesome they put in the effort to make the costume light up… but why there?

My generic answer on whether discount policies should be different for rich kids: no. This tends to decrease paperwork (only need to check the child’s age, and not their parents’ income), and ensures the option is available to all kids, whether their parents choose to do the paperwork or not.
