Heh, fellow non-driver, it’s fun right? 😅 Most days my husband is the only human I have in-person interaction with. I love that I get to stay home and be my own boss but I have observed myself getting more hermit-like with each passing year. Probably not great for my mental health.

I spend far more time on screens than I should, but I’m alone at home all day and it’s all I really have for connecting with the outside world, as little as I get from that. I really only use Discord and Bluesky though, everything else gets checked infrequently and notifications are on silent.

This, and I think most people are just so completely overloaded with “content” all the time; their brains are overstimulated and most don’t realize it. The internet used to be a place you’d visit occasionally, now we carry it around in our pocket and have it in our face all day long.

The Like button is one of the worst things we’ve gotten from social media.

I noticed the shift right around when social media took off. Everyone left FA in droves and it just got quiet. I’ve absolutely felt the frustration of producing art like a factory just to get the tiniest bit of interaction. I thought the problem was me or my art for the longest time. 🥲

The type of people who try to pass slop off as a real product can’t be very smart to begin with.

They’re horrendous. Just more crap to go in the landfill.

It will happen, sadly.

Just remember the adage: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

You won’t find unique hand crafted items at cheap prices, if you see that it’s more than likely knockoff, drop shipping, or flat out a scam. Please be careful!

I adore the way you use color, it’s such a delight to just sit and stare at your art. 🌈

Already on medication for that, it runs in the family. We only go out for restaurant food once a week, it’s a treat rather than the norm. Too expensive to do it daily.

Was a short-lived sci-fi drama show based on a book I believe; it had magic and fantasy stuff so that was enough for me. 😅

Quentin - we were watching The Magicians around the time we got him and his brother Elliot, so they got named after characters. He was the sweetest teddy bear in his old age, it was impossible not to love on him if he was in reach. lol
