I think that many people do in fact want politicians to reflect their values and beliefs … but they also want them to seem like a strong and self-assured leader!

I think if he’s out very early next year (plausible tbh) they might have time to turn things around a bit, because I think people will desperate for a federalist alternative that doesn’t completely suck … but the party brand has been further damaged
