Some people struggle with the texture which I can understand as its kinda powdery. And some people struggle with the fact it's mainly pig blood - that doesn't bother me at all 😅

I will. I did try before and tried making hot water pastry for it properly with lard but it was an unmitigated disaster and the pastry just ended up tasting like shortcrust anyway 😅 so this time I'm just using shortcrust.
But if it works I'll post my recipe for the filling etc 😊

I've never got why people think our food is bland. Everything we cook is filled with herbs and spices.
What it doesn't contain a lot of is sugar so it's not sweet - a lot of people misinterpret that as being bland and I'm fine with that 😅
