But I think the reason I'm so disappointed is because I was so invested in everything that came before. So I'll give SAO credit. It's not as bad as I expected, and that last episode of Arc 1, as messy as it is, can't take that away from it

Like Arc 1 overall is "fine", not amazing and certainly a product that could be better but I don't think it's outright bad. I wanna say Episode 14 is just like everything before but no matter how I look at it, it's absolutely abhorrent. Absolute style over substance, lost in its own sauce.

Finally, now that I've beaten this, it means I've completed all the games on my 2 year old backlog.

It's not my favorite DQ Game. Gameplay wise I think 9 and 11 are smoother, and storytelling wise I think 11 is a bit better due to its 2nd act, but 8 holds up well against it either way. Even 20 years later this game holds up well.

I adore the dynamic between the main 4 (really 3 of Jessica, Yangus and Angelo) and they really glued everything together. The story as a whole had one of the most creative sets of locales and situations of any of the games. All around, this game is near perfect all over.

I've been playing it on and off for nearly 3 years, but I finally managed to find the energy to beat it. Absolutely phenomenal on all fronts. Graphics still hold up, probably the best score in the franchise, amazing story but most importantly, the best characters so far

It only NOW occurred to me that this probably wasn't a question asking me who I was talking about, but why I threw out the N Word. To which, I must clarify that I am Black.

This is easily one of my new favorite hip hop albums. I can't help but adore Dilla's style. Its a terrible shame he died so young (And so soon after releasing Donuts too). But I'm glad he went out doing what he loved, with this album being an exclamation mark on his incredible life.

I finished this a while back but wanted to give it a couple more listens before I gave my thoughts, and after doing so I can conclude this is masterful. Its a phenomenal collection of insanely intricately produced beats, almost avant-garde in their style.
