I have been listening to a bunch of outsider music because of @deadblossomjesse.bsky.social and at some point my brain has rewired from "this is terrible" to "this is a pure human experience" and I am so grateful.
It's like how a kids drawing is bad, but it's so pure you can't possibly hate it.

Elden Ring: Nightreign joins the very short list of games I have actually 100% on steam, along with Nioh 2 and Helldivers 2.
Enjoyed this so much more than I expected for a small side project/spinoff.
I really hope to see more true coop multiplayer coming out of Fromsoft in the future.

I love in Nightreign is that bosses weaknesses are mechanical and not just a lower res.
Knocking them out of phases or stopping certain attacks, is awesome.
But I just know if they were in any other souls game people would complain that "you didn't really beat darkdrift if you used lightning"

Seeing lots of people complaining that JRPG is a used to describe a genre to seperate turn based strategy combat from other SRPG, CRPG etc. And not just "any kind of game with RPG elements made in Japan".

Just finished Act I of Calir Obscur and now I'm fully hooked.
Loved everything about the game up until now, music, designs, combat, banter, restocking items etc etc but they just can't stop 1 upping themselves.
DAMN the story cooks.
