No dummy, it's you. Or should I say "yuou"?

After further reflection and a chance to gather my thoughts, I would also like to add: Ick!
November 25, 2025 at 4:46 PM
And, to add my own commentary: Ew!

Mayor Lurie 'reassured the community members that “we have a very thorough vetting process now."'

I mean, at this point he should just hire Mission Local to vet his candidates as you're obviously doing a better job at it than his own team is. Ridiculous.

My mother's side of the family is from Waterford too!

Lol, recently I've been shouting "Shut up, piggie!" when he comes on.
November 24, 2025 at 5:53 PM
My stance is so long as I'm shouting at someone on the radio/TV who can't hear me it's okay. I kind of enjoy being a pedant of no consequence! 😆
November 24, 2025 at 5:39 PM
Oh, don't get me started on "It begs the question"!!

I lose my mind when I hear that phrase followed by the question it supposedly "begs."

In subsequent years, I've had versions of this conversation where someone would ask why I was not going home for the holiday. I'd say "Oh, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Ireland." Many Americans were surprised by that. I've been asked what we call Thanksgiving in Ireland. My answer: "Thursday??"
November 24, 2025 at 5:31 PM
LOL. Am I the only one who shouts "Between you and ME" at the TV whenever someone says "Between you and I"? That one really sets me off.

Sickening.

Hey, I'm still sorting through those cables! Some of them may not be obsolete.
November 24, 2025 at 5:42 AM
Okay Karen, you're becoming tedious. "Correcting" people's English because you insist everyone speak the exact way you do is peak imperialism, where ever the fuck you're from. That you think you're something else is both ironic and pathetic. You will now by muted.
November 24, 2025 at 4:41 AM
Why don't you ask an American?
November 24, 2025 at 4:36 AM
Why? You're doing such a good job channeling the British imperialist mindset all by yourself.
November 24, 2025 at 4:31 AM
Oh yes, the Irish. Notorious imperialists. Do they not teach history in the UK anymore? (Hint: we were your first colony and you're still occupying our island)
November 24, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Dear Imperialist. Words mean different things in different places.
