okay i agree that what israel is doing is terrible. do you think that everyone in israel is responsible? because economic sanctions are a form of collective punishment.

economic sanctions hurt the population of a country more than their leaders and have been historically bad so yeah i oppose sanctions and would advocate for other methods but in reality it doesn't really matter what any other country does while the US still supports Israel

i dont understand how you can say that sanctions have worked and can be used for good when all evidence is to the contrary. the us keeps sanctioning and bombing over and over again and it never nets positive results

on top of that, we see instances of countries being sanctioned for so long that they have essentially set up their own international market so it has further fractured international relations instead of building cooperation

economic sanctions function by restricting access to imports and exports of a country which cause unrest by hurting the population of a country in the hopes that internal pressure will effect change. it is intentionally hurting potentially millions of people of another country and i think thats bad

yeah i agree that israel relies on us aid and support and without it israel would fall apart but i also think that the US should have to clean up their mess as well

the US wouldn't actually need to sanction israel, they would only have to stop providing them aid and support for them to end their belligerence. personally i think there should be international intervention and trials held for the israeli government officials
