After a long while stored behind a door I decided to have one of my oil paintings from life framed. Done fast without refining I was inspired by the 1st painting I fell in love with.. Cézanne’s The Gardener.

I got your painting back from the framers. ( took a while as I had one of my big painting framed as well) I decided to not put it under glass as I love the texture. It’s now in pride of place in my hallway. Thank you again. It’s perfect.

We’ve had my mum’s fox terrier since my mum went into hospital in early Dec. Our girl has now accepted him and he’s become more tolerant. They have started to lie together and it’s heartwarming.

In the 1830/60s The Star and Garter Hotel was popular among many; Dickens, Ruskin, Tennyson and Thackeray were all frequent guests. In 1851, Dickens held a dinner to celebrate the mark of the publication of David Copperfield – royal guests included Queen Victoria, Napoleon lll & European royalty.

Weather is perfect, it’s been so unrelentingly dark & wet it was like coming from the deep & taking a life giving gasp for breath!

Weather is perfect, it’s been so unrelentingly dark & wet it was like coming from the deep & taking a life giving gasp for breath!

Having checked I think that dite was post my discovery of the photo so I looked and found the same photo uploaded to Ancestry.com in 2010 and I’ve messaged the guy who uploaded it.
