Took the train down to DC for Crooked Con and saw up close and personal what the Democratic Party might look like in 2026, 2028, and beyond.

I give you 5,000 words on Las Vegas, a city in flux. All year long I read headlines about how tourism to the Strip had sharply declined in 2025, so I went there for 3 days in October to soak in the vibe. Ultimately this is a story about why the city is Good and why the death of Vegas would be Bad.

I interviewed Ross Douthat about his podcast, and the one-of-kind position he holds in legacy media. It features maybe my favorite headline we’ve ever published.

You know how our mothers have a taste for regaling us with random horrific tragedies, often about people we don't really know, whenever we catch up? I decided to write about where that instinct comes from. Here is a deep dive on the Doom Moms 💖

My take on the return of Kimmel.
September 24, 2025 at 1:54 PM
One last thought on Kimmel, which is, it's so embarrassing that an existential first amendment crisis requires one to come to the defense of Jimmy Kimmel Live lmfao. Of all shows! Of all people!

My thoughts on Kimmel, “cancel culture,” the stupidity of this era, gullible marks, and so on.

Threw this on the big screen last night.

Hello! I'm putting the finishing touches on a story about Doom Moms -- as in, the way our beautiful mothers have a way of telling us extremely tragic news about people we barely know whenever we catch up. Looking for a few more sources that have experienced this baffling ritual. Please get in touch!

I went to a Banana Ball game and learned just how gloriously thirsty this whole enterprise is.

Jeff Passan rules because on top of being the premiere scoop guy in baseball he also has retained an ability to deliver absolute bars.

Wrote about ESPN, a network that has slowly and deliberately shedded all of its defining characteristics in order to chase the Slop Dollar.

I wrote about the Mile High Club which — I swear — was more of a *thing* in the 90s/2000s than it is now. Why has airplane sex declined in the annals of collective fantasy? I tried to figure it out!
