Seeing Nina Power's spectacular dimwittedness playing out in court was quite something—exemplified here, where her *own barrister* asked her to explain why she'd lied in her pleadings about the Groyper accounts she was secretly running.

Cross-examination saw her reduced to a sobbing, fascist husk.

This resulted in one of the most jaw-dropping moments at trial, when both DC Miller and Nina Power were forced by their own KC to admit to having made false statements in sworn statements of truth, having dishonestly claimed the groyper account Power used to target me was an "unknown third-party":

Q. 287 and you can see that is your signature. Yes? A. Yes. Q. That aspect of item 6 which I read to you at 290, is that correct? A. No, it's not correct. Q. Is it true? A. It's not true. Q. Why did you sign something which you knew not to be true? A. (no reply) Q. There is no rush, Mr Miller. A. I was dealing with the material very quickly and I was flustered by it. I also understood that it was not unknown - it was in fact Nina's account. I didn't want to drag the issue into it, which I didn't think was relevant. I regret that decision that I made Nina Power being questioned by Liam Walker KC at the High Court: MR WALKER: And it is tab 30, first of all, and is that your witness statement? A. Yes, it is. Q. And if you go to the last page, in tab 30, is that your signature? A. Yes, it is. Q. Can I ask you to stay in that bundle and can I ask you to go behind tab 14, page 290? Do you have it? A. Yes. Q. The "alien races" Whatsapp messages certainly figured at trial, where both Miller and Power were reduced to tears by their own foolishness. Their responses were about as insightful as you'd expect…

Just learned of the death of Walker Storz, a NRx Land acolyte whose article 'Toward a Hitlerian Disability Politics' figured in my trial against Nina Power and Daniel Miller.

Storz, who wrote 'The Incel is the Only Possible Revolutionary Subject', also targeted me with abhorrent abuse.

James is indeed correct in anticipating that I made extremely reasonable offers throughout the litigation process that Mr Lewis's clients ought to have accepted, including this offer on the eve of trial to simply walk away from their hopeless libel claim bearing their own costs:

We and our client are confident that he will successfully defend your clients' claims against him and that he will be similarly successful in his counterclaim against your clients. Nonetheless, our client is mindful of (i) the obligations on parties, under the Civil Procedure Rules, to try to resolve their disputes without a trial, (ii) the fact that substantial brief fees fall due imminently, and (iii) the potential benefits, in terms of costs and interest, of making an offer to settle. Our client is therefore prepared to make the offer set out in this letter in respect of your clients' libel claims against him only. Terms of our client's offer This offer is made jointly and severally to your clients and is capable of being accepted by one or both of them. Our client hereby offers the following terms in full and final settlement of the whole of each of your clients' libel claims against him as set out in your clients' Re-Amended Particulars of Claim dated 9 September 2021. Insightful work here from James Wilson (@per-incuriam.bsky.social) who is continuing to shed much-needed light on Mark Lewis, the lawyer who represented far-right "bullies" Daniel Miller & Nina Power in my High Court case, and his concerning modus operandi:

The second case is Miller and Power v Turner [2023] EWHC 2799 (KB), where Mr Lewis acted for the claimants Daniel Miller and Nina Power in their defamation claim against Luke Turner. The case went to trial and Mr Lewis’ clients lost. What seems clear about this case is that the chances of Mr Miller and Ms Power succeeding at trial were very low. Mr Turner had made various statements about Mr Miller and Ms Power, including that they were fascists and neo-Nazis who had engaged in a campaign of harassment against him. Bizarrely, Mr Miller and Ms Power chose not to contest that they were fascists or neo-Nazis, but claimed their reputations had been harmed by the allegations of harassment. Given they had expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler, defending the fascism allegations would have been problematic to say the least. It seems unlikely that additional damage to their reputation was caused by the accusation of harassment on top of the accusation of being fascists? This seems to be the basis on which Mr Miller and Ms Power lost at trial. While I have no sympathy for Mr Miller and Ms Power, it seems possible that - as in my case - Mr Lewis’ conduct was motivated and the case maintained to trial on the basis of his own significant financial interests. It would be interesting to know if - as I did in my case - Mr Turner made a reasonable offer which Mr Lewis’ clients ought to have accepted, but which they were prevented from accepting because Mr Lewis advised against it. If that happened then - as with Mr Cantor - Mr Miller and Ms Power were obliged to carry on. They too may have been trapped in an aeroplane piloted by Mr Lewis. The end result was that Mr Miller and Ms Power lost at trial, they both went bankrupt and, presumably, Mr Turner was left out of pocket. If I am right and Mr Lewis has been running cases on the basis of his own direct personal and significant financial interests, then this is a huge problem because other people - his own clients and those on the other side - will have suffered serious financial harm by his conduct. There is also the psychological harm caused intensely stressful and risky litigation. Given that Patron Law: (a) has effectively given Mr Lewis the authority to allow him to operate like this; and (b) appears not to have effectively supervised him; then it seems to me that (c) Patron Law and its insurers ought to be liable to those affected by Mr Lewis’ conduct. The cost of all this could run into £100,000s.

Before becoming editor of IM-1776, Daniel Miller was a writer for Social Matter, an overtly neo-Nazi publication that called for "segregation and separation" as the "solution" to the "Jewish question"—where Miller used his articles to glorify Trump and 'superfascist' crank Julius Evola:

Exit is billed as a participant in Wagon Box’s CCR event, which will include other far-right publishers , along with Murphy’s Other Life and hard-right online magazine IM-1776. The Guardian previously reported on IM-1776’s support of authoritarian leaders such as Vladimir Putin and El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele; its enthusiasm for extremist political figures such as Gabriele D’Annunzio and Kaczynski; and its close links with contemporary hard-right activists like the culture warrior Christopher Rufo, Erik Prince and would-be “warlord” Charles Haywood. IM-1776’s literary editor, Daniel Miller, is a speaker at DitW, and in YouTube videos posted to Wagon Box’s channel he is characterized as a writer-in-residence. In a January article for IM-1776, Miller called for Donald Trump to overthrow the government of the UK led by Keir Starmer and “liberate” the country, saying it was run by “a criminal regime” dominated by “a mafia-like organization of pathological personalities”, a necessity “as clear as the imperative of the Vietnamese to invade Cambodia and remove the Khmer Rouge from power in 1979”. Miller did not respond to a request for comment.

I will never forget how Kathleen Stock promoted a campaign by two far-right conspiracy theorists to use libel laws to suppress my free speech in combating neo-Nazism.

When their lawsuit failed—the Judge ruling their conduct aggressive antisemitic bullying—Stock doubled down.

Since their bankruptcies, Nina Power and Daniel Miller have continued to spread disinformation about the Judgment—including denying the fact their accounts were under criminal investigation by the Met police.

"I did, however, have broader concerns around the material provided and around the threat posed by white supremacism and the alt-right. For example, I recall a particularly disturbing tweet by the @DCGroyper account referring to "dashing down into the street, pistol in hand and firing blindly, as fast as you can pull the trigger, into the crowd". Any kind of comment about shooting people in the street is obviously a highly concerning thing to read. I was also particularly mindful that there had been quite a few high-profile terrorist attacks and lone shooter events around this time, particularly in the United States. I therefore considered that it would be sensible to prepare an intelligence report to ensure that the DCXTV Account and Havas Account were appropriately monitored, and that the material posted under those accounts would be distributed within the MPS. The purpose of this intelligence report was to document the material that was being posted by the DCXTV Account and Havas Account in case they happened to already be under investigation by another police department. I created the report in mid-December 2018 but do not know what happened with it thereafter. As I believe I would have told Mr Turner at the time, ordinarily intelligence reports would be reviewed by a supervisor within the MPS's Intelligence Department. To end, we would like to return to another trope repeatedly brought up in discourses on the new and old right. It is a question, so to speak, about the (new?) aesthetics of the new right. Is there a relation between the new right and the idea that fascism effectuates an aestheticization of politics? On the culturally aspirational fringes of the far Right (from Bronze Age Pervert to fashwave) there are some desultory efforts at aestheticization that don’t exactly compete with Jünger, Marinetti or Mishima, to put it all too mildly. In this arena especially, I think late fascism reveals itself as a pathetic but not innocuous pastiche of its forerunner.
