Yes, just keep pushing tracking changes live completely untested. And close down the staging environment while at it. "There may be need to emphasize when things shouldn't go live. Our Continous Integration setup envisions every finished feature goes live asap..." #ContinuousIntegration

Recently, #PiwikPro added the "description" field for Custom Dimensions. But instead of going into 8 Sites to edit the descriptions for 60 CDs each (480 edits), just edit them once in ur blueprint site & then sync to the others (30 seconds). With #PiwikProManager. Free! github.com/loldenburg/p...

#GoogleAds Enhanced Conversions server-side endpoint had minor issues with requests timing out yesterday. Seems to have stopped after 8 PM CET, but better check your monitoring...

On Oct 25, #Google suddenly delivered 10 times the normal daily budget in their #YouTubeAds. So instead of 2500 EUR, the client suddenly spent 25k! Google's explanation is a bit laughable: "no further impact".

If you move to #Server-Side Tagging, don't just assume that vendor endpoints always work. That is far from the reality. While it was not so easy to configure to regular email schedule, #Tealium Server-Side's connector performance dashboard closes this gap for me at a client nicely.

When #PiwikPro started throttling their API this year without giving client a proper way to prepare or test for this, they told me that I could use the X-Retry-After header in the response to handle when to trigger the next request... Turns out this header always contains "0" and is thus useless.😑

If you run services that your Analytics has to wait for (like AB Testing tools telling your Analytics tool which test a user is in), you need to monitor them - eg Adobe Target being very unresponsive this week, probably due to our proxy (not Adobe's fault). thebounce.io/monitor-serv...

#StackAdapt has changed their tracking methods recently without bothering to test it. Their server does not care about CORS Policies and about the endless console errors that causes.

The buggiest #GoogleAds tool (Data Manager) has been driving me crazy for half a year now. Now: gbraid and wbraid integration - THERE ARE NO ROWS with both gbraid & gclid or wbraid & gclid or wbraid & gbraid. This "error" makes no sense. Starting to think braid import doesn't work at all.

No more misunderstandings like "Sorry, can't attend at that time. Ur org calendar does not reflect my availability - I am external". So I finally wrote a Cloud Function that synchronizes my dim28 calendar with all the calendars of my clients (MS or Google doesn't matter). Will save so much time!

If you use this setting in your #PiwikPro Analytics tag, it does not work. It sets the expiration to your custom time when the user accepts consent, but then on the next pageview it is at the 13 months default again. Bug is acknowledged by PiwikPro.

Experiencing major problems with #PiwikPro Looker Studio Dashboards for multiple clients today. The error messages are misleading, as the custom dimensions that supposedly cause the problem are not even used in the widget nor anywhere else on the dashboard.

#GoogleAds users working with an active "Search Partners" checkbox for your search ads (not PMAX): Watch the share of your traffic from Search Partners. At a client, I can see that Google multiplied the share considerably over the last months even though no budget/bidding changes. The CR is abysmal.
