We need laws to make things like this opt-in only. It’s the only way to protect consumers of these predatory practices.

That’s so cool. I love continuity like that. I had purchased CM1 before owning any rules and later on, as I got the Basic, Expert, and Companion rules, I noted my luck that Test of the Warlords connected to the world introduced in Expert and incorporated the new rules from Companion.

“King Ericall…” He was in CM1 as well, right? The name sounds very familiar.

True. I don’t think I ever really leveled up a character back in the day. At the time, we just used the pregenerated characters from CM1 Test of the Warlords, as we would do with most of the adventure modules we used to buy so we’d have level-appropriate characters to play.

I really enjoyed the expanding roles it gave to characters as they matured from exploring hero adventurers into lords and ladies of the land, controlling armies and making changes to the world.

Isn’t he serving the party of states’ rights? Is that a real principle or only when it’s convenient for him?
